Just over a year ago we engaged Cathy and Don to renovate the main floor of our villa condominium. The work was quite extensive as it included painting all rooms, new hardwood in two rooms and the hallway, new countertops, backsplash in the kitchen, new doors throughout and new door hardware as well as new sinks and fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms. Cathy and Don made selection of materials very easy for us. It was a pleasure to work with them and their professionalism and vast experience were great assets as well as great assurances to us throughout the project. This project came in on time and on budget. We were so pleased with the way everything had gone that we began a second renovation project with Showtime a month later. This was the renovation of our walk-out basement level. While not as extensive perhaps as the first project, this second phase went equally as smoothly for us and was also on time and budget. We enjoyed meeting all the tradespeople used by Showtime; it was obvious to us that they were all very experienced and professional. In the summer of 2013, I had reached a roadblock in choosing new carpet for my 25 year old house. I couldn’t find the product to suit my design ideas and then I was concerned the installation could be unmanageable. Don came and we walked my house. He saw all the other areas where I knew updates and repairs were needed! The first estimate and work schedule were revised to suit me and that project made such an improvement to my home space that I made two more projects! The materials and tradespeople with the Showtime business have transformed my whole house. The cabinet work was custom matched in my restyled kitchen; the 3 bathrooms are convenient, safe and stylish; basement and lighting are finished,welcoming and safe. The carpentry and tile finishes are expertly giving a flow in the rooms so revisions are seamless! The suppliers had selections and quality products to modernize ,but maintain the character of the original house. Efficiency in utilities used has been great, but mostly the spaces are comfortable. Who ya gonna call? Our basement was flooded and walls had been removed. A faulty window installation done by another company had to be reinstalled and properly sealed. More downpours were expected. Showtime stepped in with calm, expertise and speed to change what felt like a disaster into an even better space that will enhance our home for many years. Their tradespeople really knew what they were doing and did it with a smile. Building costs were well-predicted, carefully monitored and regularly updated.. After listening to my previous negative experience with renos, Don and Cathy submitted a detailed estimate. The estimate was accurate and within $200, in our favor. Don and Cathy arrived to drive, listen and advise me in selecting products and colors. The schedule was minutely coordinated and once work began, moved quickly to completion. Don checked everyday to assure all my questions were answered and no misunderstandings occurred. Workers were on time, experienced, knowledgeable, pleasant and trustworthy. Workers cleaned, vacuumed everyday and were respectful of our environment. We recently used Showtime Home Staging & Design to perform a major renovation to our home’s interior: new flooring on all 3 floors (hardwood, tile, carpeting); 2 new bathrooms; the centrepiece of a brand new kitchen; as well as new baseboards and extensive painting. They started with a very thorough estimating process, which provided a lot of comfort, and the project was completed essentially as estimated (on time, on budget) with very few ‘extras’ that they hadn’t helped us contemplate in the original budget. Their access to discounts from suppliers for flooring, appliances, etc. was a significant value-add. They were very helpful also in the design phase, helping us realize our goal of opening up the kitchen and family rooms, without sacrificing too much cupboard, appliance and counter space. Showtime’s attention to detail made sure that small touches that make a big difference weren’t overlooked. Their project management skill was evident in the way tasks were scheduled to minimize conflicts with other tasks, but also in the way they utilized windows while we were away to accomplish the most disruptive tasks, and ensured there was living space for us when we were home during construction. Their tradespeople were all friendly, courteous and skilled. We would not hesitate to recommend Showtime Home Design.

Thank you so much for your professional job on the recent ensuite shower installation in our master bedroom. We had a large closet space which was converted to a beautiful modern fully tiled shower enclosure with a light and frameless shower door. The rain shower head and separate hand shower fixture which you recommended works extremely well for us.

This project came in at 10% below initial estmate. It was a lot of fun to work with Cathy and Don and we appreciated being taken to your suppliers to pick out the various supplies and components. Your various trades people were very skilled, efficient and friendly. They kept the dust to a minimum and cleaned up at the end of each day. Thank them all for us. All the best in the future.

When my husband, Alan, was hospitalised last year for a considerable time, and on finally coming home, it was obvious that he would not be able to carry out any maintenance inside or outside the house, it became necessary to seek help.

When summer eventually arrived, you asked us if there was anything that we needed done that your company could help with. We had previously decided that the concrete foundations to the house needed repair after 32 years and you came to see the problem, took photos and agreed this was something you could undertake. A timeline was arranged which was mutually agreeable and at the time stated your two contractors arrived to start the work. Both Spiros and Bogden worked extremely efficiently and professionally and explained what was involved. This was a three part process of first, repairing the concrete where it had broken off, then sealing it and finally painting it. In the meantime they had noticed that a couple of windows needed rubbing down and repainting which they also did. At the end of each day you, yourself, came to see how things were progressing and to see that we were happy with the progress.

While the two gentlemen were here, we also asked if you could arrange for them to do a couple of other smaller jobs of putting up new outside garage lights and also rubbing down the family room mantelpiece which was made of very rough wood and then sealing it. Both of these jobs were completed within the time period originally set out and very much to our satisfaction.

Both Spiros and Bogden were delightful professionals, who worked efficiently and cheerfully. If anything had to be removed, they did so and replaced after finishing.. All debris was removed and at the end of their time here, everything looked tidy, clean and wonderfully refreshed after 30 odd years. Added to this was the relief my husband felt that everything had been done so professionally since he could not manage to do these things himself.

Thank you for giving our home a fresh look and us peace of mind with such little effort on our part. We would certainly not hesitate to request your services for any future work required and be more than happy to recommend you to any of our friends who were in need of your services

We are absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen. From start to finish it went extremely smoothly and we would recommend Cathy Niefer (Showtime) in a heart beat. Cathy listened to our “wants” and incorporated everything and made wonderful suggestions and designed a kitchen that is functional, beautiful and above all ~ us! Communication by Cathy and Don was always first and foremost and we really appreciated being kept in the loop. Cathy chauffeured us to various sites to choose cabinets, colours, flooring, tiles, quartz, appliances, window coverings, etc. always with budgets and wants and needs in mind.

We had a 1964 outdated, worn maple cabinet kitchen with a built-in oven, coil stove top that wouldn’t come clean and gaps between the dishwasher and cupboards and a make-shift microwave stand. We now have the most beautiful cloud white shaker style cabinets, state of the art appliances, a microwave hood fan combo and everything fits to a “T”. The trades’ people that Cathy uses (many have worked with them for years) were on site when scheduled and extremely easy to work with.

The kitchen was finished on time, on budget and we now look forward to cooking in this lovely new kitchen and we’re happy to show off our home to any potential clients of Cathy (Showtime).

Our bathrooms look really great and we are pleased with the excellent work done by this company. Cathy was very helpful ,helping me with product selection she seemed to know just where to take me to make these product selection. She made herself available anytime for discussions when I needed answers to my many questions.
Don was here every day to check on the contractors to make sure they were doing everything the way it was supposed to be done. The contractors where always  very professional and tidy up after themselves every day before leaving.
We would highly recommend this company to our friends or anyone who is planning on doing renovations to their homes.
